Culture is infrastructure.
Healing begins in the soil.
DOTS Culture helps people, organisations and movements turn bold ideas into lasting systems that strengthen wellbeing, culture and community.
WHY WE EXIST
Trusted ecosystems, gathered around a shared purpose.
We believe many of today's greatest challenges cannot be solved by a single organisation or discipline. They require trusted ecosystems. Communities, practitioners, institutions, artists, researchers, entrepreneurs, and funders gathered around a shared purpose.
Many of these challenges (social, emotional, ecological, economic) are symptoms of one wound: disconnection.
From self. From community. From culture. From land. From meaning.
THE MEDICINE ALREADY EXISTS
It lives in communities, traditions, creativity, and relationships. What's missing is the infrastructure. The coordination, the visibility, the resources, the connective tissue.
DOTS Culture exists to build that tissue.
We create from wholeness, from the wisdom in the scars of our wounds.
THE NAME
DOTS - Daughter of the Soil.
The name was not chosen. It was given.
After leading one of the world's most scrutinised technology launches in East Africa, and walking through the fire of the public investigation that followed, our founder was cleared and named: Daughter of the Soil. She was asked to keep innovating for her country.
She chose to innovate at the root.
DOTS Culture was born from that baptism, and from a simple understanding: before we build anything lasting, we must heal our relationship with where we come from.
The soil beneath us. The soil within us.

1 teaspoon of healthy soil holds more living organisms than there are humans on Earth.
We believe the same about communities, about culture, about people: the life is already there. Our work is to make the conditions right.
WHAT WE ARE
A cultural systems studio.
An incubation platform.
An ecosystem builder.
DOTS Culture helps people, organisations, and movements turn bold ideas into lasting impact.
We bring together strategy, partnerships, storytelling, and community to help ideas grow into organisations, programmes, and ecosystems that strengthen culture, wellbeing, and regenerative futures.
From designing new initiatives to building the relationships and structures that help them thrive, we walk alongside founders, communities, institutions, and leaders from vision to reality.
We move slowly where trust takes time, and boldly where change is needed.

“We are not afraid of the dark.”
Healing work begins by facing what others avoid.
We make space for difficult conversations, hidden challenges, and untapped potential. Then we bring together the people who can help something new grow: elders, artists, practitioners, institutions, communities, and partners.
HOW WE CREATE CHANGE
From vision to living reality.
01
Convene
We bring together unlikely collaborators: elders and technologists, healers and institutions, artists and funders.
02
Incubate

03
Build
We design programmes, partnerships, experiences, and organisations.
04
Scale
We help what works grow through strategic relationships, evidence, and story.
CURRENT INITIATIVES
Different challenges require different interventions.
Rather than one organisation trying to do everything, DOTS incubates and partners with specialised initiatives connected by a shared philosophy: culture, wellbeing, regeneration, and collective flourishing.

THE FOUNDER

Wangechi Mwangi
Founder & Ecosystem Builder. Daughter of the Soil.
Granddaughter of freedom fighters, including the late Wangechi Kimathi, who survived seven years in colonial detention. Descendant of a man who died at 33 in Kenya's struggle for independence.
Wangechi led one of the most ambitious technology launches in East Africa, walked through its aftermath, and was cleared and named by her country. Her journey contributed to a change in Kenyan law through the passing of the Virtual Assets Service Providers Act in 2025.
Those experiences transformed the questions she was asking.
Not simply, “What should we build?”
But, “What needs to exist for people and communities to truly flourish?”
She reclaimed her family's stolen land, gathered elders and religious leaders to bless it, and was initiated into sacred leadership: hands, feet, head, whole body.
From that journey came a simple conviction: that many of our greatest challenges are symptoms of disconnection, and that culture is part of the infrastructure that helps communities thrive.
Then she built DOTS Culture: so that the abundance of the earth can reach the hearts of the people.
This work is personal.
It is ancestral.
It is a life's purpose.
